Lithuanian Cornflowers
Knitting and pictures by Craftzone, Mazas and Mabe58. Thank you so much!
This is my third and the last cornflower mitten pattern. I really think I have exhausted the Cornflowers theme! This one is the simplest and the most traditional-looking one. It is also my personal favorite :-). I designed it for my friend in Vilnus who likes cornflowers, and who was going to spend some time in a country house in July. At first, I wanted to call it A Weekend in the Country, but after I accidentally designed three different patterns instead of one, I realized I would have to name those differently, - hence the name Lithuanian Cornflowers. As somebody mentioned, the flowers do not have nationality, - true, but I like to imagine those blue flowers growing in the fields somewhere around my friend’s house near Vilnus.
