These fingerless mitts feature a faux cable pattern and are extremely easy to knit. My grand-daughter loved a hat I made for her with this pattern a few years ago and asked if she could have mittens in the same pattern. I also made myself a pair slightly larger so have added the pattern for that too!

I don’t think gauge is particularly important as needle sizes are smaller than recommended for DK yarns

I only used 20g of Peter Pan Petite Fleur DK yarn for the child version and 50g for the adult size but used a smaller needle than is recommended for DK yarns.

ERRATA!! :- Left hand instructions, Row 2 should read “P3, K2 (P1, YRN, P1, K2) 4 times, P25”
