Little Aviator Hat by Over the Head Threads

The sky is the limit when it comes to preemies! It seemed fitting, then, to design an aviator hat for all the cute littles!

This adorable hat features an aviator-inspired beanie made to fit only the tiniest of humans- premature babies.

I make these hats for NICU babies, and they are always such a big hit that I wanted to share the pattern with others. Maybe you have a charity in mind, or even have or know a preemie baby in need of some cute hats?

Pattern also works well for dolls. It will fit most dolls with an 8-11 inch head. It works up very quickly and uses barely any yarn. I’m able to make 15+ hats with just one skein of yarn in each color!

Materials:
5.0 or 5.5 mm crochet hook
5-10 yards of brown worsted weight yarn
3-5 yards of white worsted weight yarn
Yarn needle
Measuring tape to check gauge
