ABOUT

This baby blanket is called the “Little Baby Bridges Blanket” because the little arches in the pattern remind me of old-fashioned bridges over water. I look at this design and imagine sitting on a river bank and watching the river rippling and the clouds rolling by on a warm summer’s day with a light breeze, and it makes me feel relaxed. In the multi-coloured version you can see the grass, the water, the little baby bridges and the sky. Of course you can use whatever colour combinations you desire!

DETAILS

  • The blanket is worked in the round with repeats which are approx. 28 cm (11 inches) in height, which means you can make it to larger sizes if you want.
  • Included in the pattern is a table with information on how to calculate the stitch and feature counts for additional rounds.
  • This pattern is symmetrical, it is therefore the same for left and right-handers.

DIFFICULTY

  • Difficulty is rated as 3 out of 5. There are stitch substitutions offered for the standing stitches to reduce complexity further.
