Little Badger baby beanie
A cute little badger pixie beanie knitting pattern for the spring. A sweet little picture knit for little ones!
These picture knits are worked flat and seamed for easy intarsia knitting. If you are a new knitter and not quite ready to work in intarsia this time, you can turn this pattern into a simple project by Swiss darning (duplicate stitching) the little badgers onto your beanie after knitting.
This knitting pattern has instructions for the following sizes:
6-8lbs (0-3m, 3-6m, 6-12m, 1-2 yrs, 3-5 years)
Choose any 4 Ply yarn (or sport yarn) that knits on 3.25mm (US3) needles to the tension listed below. The little beanie shown here was knitted in Bergere De France Caline 4ply.

10cms/4 inches = 25-26sts
10cms/4 inches = 34-35 rows
Age / Hat Circumference measured flat and stretched
6-8 lbs
27-30cms (10 3/4 -12ins)
0-3 months
30-34cms (12-13 1/2ins)
3- 6 months
34-38cms (13 1/2-15ins)
6-12 months
38-42cms (15-16 1/2ins)
1-2 years
42-46cms (16 1/2-18ins)
3-5 years
46-51cms (18–20ins)
You will need:
A pair of 3.25mm (US3) single pointed needles
Orange = 25 (30, 35, 40, 45, 50) gm
Black = 10 (10, 10, 10, 10, 10) gm
White = 5 (5, 5, 5, 5 ,5) gm
Darning/tapestry needle.
