The little beaded book tote is the perfect gift wrap for books. Book lovers will love the little shiny tote.

Techniques

• knit and purl
• cross two right
• cross two left
• knit in beads (there is a photo tutorial and a video included in the pattern)
• normal bind-off

Measures
The little book tote is approximately 8 to 9 inches wide and 9 to 10 inches high (without handles). The measures will vary depending on the yarn weight and needle size.

Material
For a pure-cotton book tote:
• max. 100g of fingering cotton yarn (e.g. Catania Fine by Schachenmayr)
• one or two circular knitting needles (2.5 mm) depending on the method you prefer for knitting small circumferences in the round
• 2 DPNs (2 mm) for the handle straps and for the bind-off

For a sock yarn book tote:
• max. 100g sport-weight sock yarn
• one or two circular knitting needles (3 mm) depending on the method you prefer for knitting small circumferences in the round
• 2 DPNs (2.5 mm) for the handle straps and for the bind-off

And (for both):
• two different placemarkers
• 100 beads (Rocailles), diameter: 4 mm
• 1 crochet hook 0.75 mm (very thin) for pulling stitches through beads
• a darning needle to weave in ends
• sewing thread to sew on the handles (similar color as knitting yarn)
• sewing needle

Maße
Die kleine Büchertasche wird ungefähr 21 bis 22 cm breit und 22 bis 24 cm hoch (ohne Griffe). Die Maße variieren je nach Garn- und Nadelstärke.

Material
Für eine reine Baumwoll-Büchertasche:
• Max. 100g Baumwollgarn 4-fädig (z.B. Catania Fine von Schachenmayr)
• Eine oder zwei Rundstricknadeln (2,5 mm) je nach der Methode, mit der du kleine Umfänge in Runden stricken möchtest
• 2 Nadeln aus einem Nadelspiel (2 mm) für die Griffbänder und zum Abketten

Für eine Büchertasche aus Sockengarn:
• Max. 100g Sockengarn 6-fädig
• Eine oder zwei Rundstricknadeln (3 mm) je nach der Methode, mit der du kleine Umfänge in Runden stricken möchtest
• 2 Nadeln aus einem Nadelspiel (2,5 mm) für die Griffbänder und zum Abketten

Und (für beide):
• Zwei unterschiedliche Maschenmarkierer
• 100 Beads (Rocailles), Durchmesser 4 mm
• 1 Häkelnadel 0,75 mm (sehr dünn) zum Durchziehen einer Masche durch ein Bead
• eine Stopfnadel zum Vernähen der Fadenenden
• Nähgarn zum Annähen der Griffe (gleiche Farbe wie Strickgarn)
