A quick and easy make, the finished little bear toy is approx 17.5cm standing (from foot to top of head) when made with DK weight yarn and a 3.5cm hook.

You will need a bit less than 25g of DK weight brown yarn for the body, and small amounts of yellow, white and blue for the T-shirt and scarf as well as black embroidery thread or yarn for the mouth and eyes (or 2 small safety eyes).

The pattern is written using English (UK) crochet terms. The pieces (body, legs, arms, nose and ears) are crocheted in spirals using the amigurumi technique and then sewn together.

There’s no gauge listed for the pattern as this is not important - you need to work with a hook smaller than the recommended gauge of your yarn and that gives you a dense fabric so that the stuffing doesn’t poke through.
