Little Bear
My pattern shows you how to make a Little Bear with a jumper. It’s very detailed with over 50 pictures to help you navigate the pattern through to the end. The pattern is written in English using American crochet terms.
Level : advanced beginner+
I started writing my own crochet patterns back in 2009, and I would sell the finished items. My work became really popular, and I was unable to keep up with demand. So, I decided it was time to sell some of my patterns to enable people to make their very own little crochet lovelies.
Hope you enjoy making your Little Bear. Please feel free to pop by my Instagram page (@tabbycraftdesigns) or Facebook page (Tabby Craft Designs) for more examples of how to decorate your Little Bear and to check out my lastest designs. I would love to see your creations made using my patterns too!
For this pattern you will need :
•Hook : Size 2.5mm depending on size required
•Yarn : DK in two colours depending on the size required
•Safety Eyes : size 6mm.
•Safety Nose : Size 9-10mm
•Stuffing : Good Quality Toy Stuffing
•Black Embroidery Thread or Nylon Thread for Features
•Pins
•Stitch Markers
•Embroidery NeedleChalk or Blusher for Bears Cheeks
•Ribbons, Buttons, Charms, etc of your choice to decorate you finished bear.
The size of the bear will vary, depending on the yarn used. If you use the same materials as me (DK) the finished size is approx 12cm. If you would like a bigger bear just increase your hook and yarn size - Aran weight yarn = 3mm Hook size. Equally if you want to make your bear smaller, then just decrease your yarn and hook size. 4Ply weight yarn = 2mm hook size.
The gauge is not important just make sure your crochet is tight enough, so the stuffing doesn’t show through.
