Little Bear Socks are a bit of a tribute to my father <3 Since I was very little I have been daddy’s girl. As an adult, I have enjoyed working as a nurse in the same department as my father, whose name is Bjørn (which means Bear in English), so it wasn’t long before I was nicknamed “Little Bjørn” among our colleagues.

The Little Bear Socks are constructed with the best possible fit, with a shaped toe and an hourglass heel. The pattern should look like a bear’s paw - hence the name Little Bear Socks.

The pattern is quick and easy to remember and does not require great knitting skills.

The pattern comes in sizes 37-39, 40-42 and 43-45. If you have a wide foot but fit a size 37, then you simply cast on stitches to a larger size and adjust the length of the foot, just as you can cast on fewer stitches if you have a narrow foot but fit size 44.

The socks can be knitted in most stocking yarn - so choose what you think is most delicious. I have knitted most in Tante Grøn Birk and in Drops Fabel.
