Little Big Planet Sackboy
This pattern is pretty vague in the doll-making section - message me (Isis) for deets on how i did it.
Nicole (the pattern designer) used this pattern to make wedding-cake toppers, so she used a single strand of yarn (I have no idea of the brand of yarn that i used for his body, but it’s a doubled-up worsted weight). She did not specify what kind of yarn to use.
My Sackboy came out to about 8-9” tall, using thicker yarn and a bigger hook than she did.
The hardest part was the mouth. Mod-Podge doesn’t actually work all that well sticking fabric to cardboard (or maybe I’m just impatient, since it works just fine since I let it dry).
Make sure that you fold your mouth-fabric around the cardboard, so that you have fabric to stitch to the crocheted edges.
A doll-making needle came in very handy.
I embroidered his eyes using satin stitch because I didn’t have any shank buttons.
Everything I used was stash - I had one ball of this doubled-up worsted-weight yarn and I didn’t even use all of it!
