I really felt that this design needed a little sister:)

Design
This little dress features: lace-pattern yoke for front and back, A-line shaping from the underarms down, a lace-patterned hem finished off with a picot bind-off, and shoulder-straps.

Construction
The dress is worked top-down and seamlessly.
The yoke and upper parts of the back and front are worked flat and in separate pieces. Upper back and front are joined, and lower body is worked in-the-round in stockinette sts with increases. The lower hem is worked in lace and with a picot bind-off.

Sizes
Age: newborn / 6 mo – 9 mo / 12 mo / 12 – 18 mo
Finished chest measurements are: 40/48/53/56 = 16.5/19.25/21/22”

Materials
Yarn: I recommend that you use a fingering/sport weight yarn, that knits up to gauge, to work the top. I used “Susurro” from Malabrigo to work the top. This sport weight, linen/silk/merino yarn comes in skeins of 100 gr/3.53 oz and 297 m/325 yards. You will need approximately 200/250/320/400 m = 218/273/349/436 yards of this specific yarn. Needles: circular, or straight, needle(s), needle size 2.75 mm/US2, for the yoke and upper body. A circular needle, 40 cm/24” long, in the same size as used for the upper body to work the lower body.

Gauge
25 sts and 36 rows/rounds in stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”

The pattern
The lace of the upper yokes is charted, as well as written out row-by-row. The lace of the hem is written out round-by-round.
All measurements are in cm’s as well as in inches
