Abbreviations:
st/sts = stitch(es)
CO = cast on

k = knit
p = purl
k2tog/p2tog = decrease, knit 2 together or purl 2 together
rpt = repeat
ssk = decrease, slip slip knit
kfb = increase, knit into front and back of stitch

US7/4.5mm 16” circular needles
US7/4.5mm double-pointed needles
Yarn needle
Wire is optional to make the ears stand up. I chose not to use it because it can be very sharp and dangerous if a baby or young child takes the hat off to play with.
