Little Butterflies Sweater
This pattern is for a child’s sweater with a butterfly motif.
The body of the sweater is worked from the bottom up in
the round before being split at the arms and worked flat.
The sleeves are worked in the round and sewn in place.
There is a front opening for ease of dressing.
The matching hat pattern is available as part of the e-book.
Size
6 months (12 months, 2 years, 4 years) to fit chest 43 (48, 53, 58)cm (17 (19, 20.75, 22.75)in). The finished
measurements including positive ease are 50 (54.5, 60,
63.5)cm (20 (21.75, 24, 25.5)in).
Materials
DK weight yarn in 2 colours. Wool, acrylic or a wool/acrylic
blend is preferable.
MC 280 (340, 420, 490)m (306 (372, 459, 536)yds)
CC 40 (50, 60, 70)m (44 (55, 66, 77)yds)
The sweater pictured used pictured used King Cole Pricewise Double Knitting in white (01) and grape (265).
Three 1.5cm (0.5in) buttons.

40cm (16in) 4mm (US6) circular needle

Needle and thread for sewing buttons
Gauge
22sts and 30rnds = 10cm(4in) square on 4mm (US6)
needles, worked in stocking stitch in the round and blocked.
Techniques
Techniques used include
-Working in the round on circular needles and dpns.
-Working flat

-Decreases, k2tog, p2tog, skp, p2togtbl.
