The size of the purse can vary depending on what yarn you have chosen to work with. You can use any type of yarn you choose, but your gauge may be off, yet at the same time. gauge is not all that important.

Finished measurements should be about 3” wide and 4” tall with it open and 2 3/4” tall with the top closed. That is the size I had with handspun at about sport/dk weight.
