This 12 page pattern comes in 4 different sizes, from age 3 yrs to adult, with detailed instructions and photos to help you along.

It is written in US crochet terms and you’ll need to be familiar with the following stitches and methods:
Magic ring, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, slip stitch, increase and decrease.

Skill level: Intermediate

Being in the UK, I used DK yarn to crochet this hat, but my testers have used DK and worsted, and both came out lovely and fitted fine.
Any good quality acrylic yarn is fine, it doesn’t call for any specific brand. You will need around 200 to 240 yarn of your main color, around 75 yards of your chosen hair color, 150 yards of brown for the little cowboy hat, and small amounts of white, black, red, light brown and greens for the face details.

This hat design has always been popular with little girls and adults alike, when I take it to fairs.
