Little Crosses Prayer Shawl
Mosaic Knitting is a great way to make your knitting look really intricate with a simple technique. I call it “Cheater Colorwork” because it looks like Fair-Isle knitting without having to learn how to knit with two colors at once. All you have to know is how to knit, sometimes purl, and slip stitches. The ends of this shawl use Mosaic Knitting with the middle section a simple garter stitch to let the pattern and gradient of the yarn be the star.
Because this pattern started as a stash-busting project for me, it can be easily adjusted to be whatever width or length you desire. I’ve included notes in the mosaic pattern, should you wish to modify the size in any way.
While the specific gauge is not important in this pattern, it is important to do test swatches in both patterns to make sure that you have the same gauge for both of them.
If you have any questions, comments, or feedback on this pattern, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I have no delusions that the patterns I write are perfect.
