The Daddy’s Little Deer Hunter Hat is a fun pattern to work up.

Pattern Tip: when making antlers, make sure stitches are tight. This will help in construction. And use the left over tail of yarn from constructing antler to sew to hat.

Materials needed:
Main Color yarn: I used RH super saver Pumpkin
Antler color: I now use RH super saver Buff or Aran or your preference. The original color I used ‘sandy print’ is now discontinued.
Crochet Hook: G -4.25mm
Large eye Yarn needle
Scissors

Depending upon size of hat you are making you can make multiple hats with one skein each of the colors used. For the Newborn hat you will need approx 1.2 oz of main color yarn and 0.4 oz of antler color. For 3-6 months hat you will need approx 1.6 oz of main color yarn and 0.4 oz of antler color. Red Heart super saver is the brand of yarn that I used.
