This tiny fairy is versatile, instructions include a crochet version as well. She can be as sparkly as you like. Her wings are made of Angelina fiber and instructions for that are included. Cut her wings out any shape that seems right to you. I have used hand spun merino for the hair, you can use a thick and thin yarn or a bulky if you do not have access to hand spun yarn.
No gauge on this. Use fingering weight for a tiny fairy, worsted for larger (about 6” tall) You can also vary the size of the fairy by making her body and dress longer.
