Spring 2025 Collection: This.Bird.Knits x Manos del Uruguay

Our collection with Annie Haas of This.Bird.Knits focuses on her love of stitch texture and feminine silhouettes. She explores the possibilities of one openwork stitch over several pieces, in different arrangements and at different scales. See how it brings different moods - depending on which Manos yarn is used - that can be mixed and matched for your own style!

//

The stitch texture from the Little Gem Cardigan reappears in two accessories - a drapey cowl and a dainty kerchief. Lovely, lightweight Serena, our sportweight pima cotton and baby alpaca blend gives unparalleled softness and drape to these two accessories.

NOTES
Cowl:
This project uses a pattern with a 4-stitch, 7-round repeat that makes it easy to customize the measurements. To adjust the circumference, cast on more or fewer stitches in multiples of 4. Every 4 stitches added or removed will increase or decrease the circumference by about ½” to ¾”. To adjust the height, work more or fewer repeats of the pattern. Every 7 rounds added or removed will increase or decrease the height by about 1”. If you make a significantly larger cowl you may need more yarn.

Kerchief:
This project begins with a garter tab cast-on followed by rows of stockinette stitch with RS row increases worked on either side of the center stitch and inside the 2-stitch garter edges. The kerchief finishes with a border of gathered stitches and garter ridges.
