What you will need:

4 knitting needles (US3 or size required to match tension square)
I ball of the main color or assorted yarn oddments of the same weight if making a stripy bird
1 scrap of dark wool and two buttons for eyes
Scraps of yarn for embroidering the beak, flowers etc.
Acrylic toy stuffing (polyfil)
1 tapestry needle for sewing up
Toy bell or squeaker (optional)

Increasing and decreasing

Stocking stitch
