LITTLE KARLA is a cardigan for kids worked in a slipped
stitch pattern, a simple technique that lets you knit a two-color
pattern using only one color at a time. This means the knitting
appears stranded or Fair Isle but knitted with only one color at
a time. As a result, this method is beginner-friendly and much
easier to knit.

The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. First,
the back yoke is worked with short rows across the shoulders to
create a perfect fit. The same thing is done for the fronts, which
are worked after the back yoke. The fronts and back yoke are
joined at the bottoms of the armholes to create the body, which
is worked back and forth. After this, stitches are picked up and
knitted for the neck edge, which is worked back and forth,
followed by the front edges, which are worked similarly. Finally,
stitches are picked up and knitted along the armholes for the
sleeves, which are worked with short rows at the upper section
to optimize the fit. All edges are worked in twisted rib and
bound off using the Italian bind-off technique.
