Little Lace Daisy Scarf
This long skinny lace scarf pattern was designed as a thank you to a friend for Polypay fleece she gave me from one of her sheep. The daisy is a old Shetland lace pattern. Because it’s a scarf there is no gauge to worry about and you can make it as short or long as you desire :).
I used one 300 yd skein of hand spun sport weight, a skein of lace weight (which you do not need to add if you do not want to blend colors) and a size 6 needle. I tend to knit a bit loose so I go down a needle size, so most people for this pattern would use size 7 needle.
I added the skein of natural (off white) color lace weight super wash merino when I knit so that the over dyed blue would blend with it and lighten the dark blue effect of the dye I used. It blended nicely when I washed it after knitting and did lighten it visually.
When working the double yarn overs on the pearl side, knit the first one and pearl the 2nd one.
