I wanted to make a small ladybird to sit on a knitted leaf as a brooch, but the only patterns I could find were either for crochet or far too big for my needs, so I created this little lady. I used DK and 2.5mm needles to give a tight finished fabric, but unless you particularly want the ladybird to be tiny, gauge and yarn are not important.
