Little Lamb Hat
This pattern is no longer available
When I saw this yarn I just knew I had to come up with a pattern for it. And what says bumpy, curly white more than a little lamb?? It may look like a lot of work, but the bumps are simply treble crochet stitches that are ‘bending over’ next to a single crochet. And because it uses boucle yarn, the hat works up very quickly.
The pattern uses the following stitches – chains, single crochet, double crochet, treble crochet and slip stitches. Front-post and back-post double crochet are also used – directions are written below (regular double crochet stitches can be substituted if desired). You don’t need to have extensive experience, but you should be comfortable with working in rounds and with the stitches listed.
2-3 ounces – (92 – 138 yards) baby boucle medium weight yarn in white (Baby Bee Lambkins Baby Boucle yarn used for hat in pictures)
Crochet hook US H8/5.0mm (for newborn-3 months size)
Crochet hook US I9/5.50mm (for 3-6 & 6-12 months sizes)
