The Little Lexi doll pattern includes many pictures so you can see how things should be looking as you progress (I think this helps a lot). The pattern comes with instructions for the dress that you can make your own by adding flowers, ribbon, buttons, etc.

The finished doll has arms and legs that can move so that she can sit or stand. She’s perfect for kids. (I have to admit though, if you let your kid sleep with crocheted dolls and/or stuffed animals, they get all mooshed looking. So don’t let your kids moosh your hard work, ok?)
