The Little Love Hat is a simple yet intricate and pretty fair isle design for ages newborn to 18 months. It was inspired by my own little love, my daughter Ruby (at least £1 from every pattern sale will be saved for her future).

This pattern was designed with Stylecraft Special DK as this is one of my favourite versatile yet affordable yarns. Any similar yarn should work for this pattern (provided it roughly meets the gauge of 27 stitches and 30 rounds per 10cm)

Other materials required include: a locking stitch marker to denote the beginning of the round, although you may find this is optional; a yarn needle for weaving in ends; scissors

This hat requires 1 x 100g ball of each colour. You should have enough yarn left over in each colour to knit the Little Love Hat’s sister pattern, the Sweetheart Hat.
