Little Lurkers Coozy
Skill Level: -Easy/Moderate but recommended to watch a youtube tutorial on double knitting in the round and kitchener stitch if you have never done it before.
Size: -Finished Circumference about 7 inches (18cm) -Finished Height about 3 inches (8cm) (possible to finish taller depending on your personal stitch style.)
Materials:
+Color A 10g/40yds(36.5 meters) -Emma’s Practically Perfect Smalls Fingering 80% Superwash Merino Wool 20% Nylon
+Color B 10g/40yds(36.5 meters) -Emma’s Practically Perfect Smalls Fingering 80% Superwash Merino Wool 20% Nylon
+2 sets of US size 2 circular needles with 9 inch cord
+Tapestry Needle
+Stitch Markers (I like to keep mine at every 8 stitches with a larger or brightly colored marker for start of row)
+Highlighter to draw on the colorwork chart as you go for easy row tracking
Gauge: -25 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inch square
Notes: -Coozy is worked in one piece in the round. -Use a 2 color alternating cast on and do not include it in your row count.
-Double knitting in the round is achieved by alternating stitches in order to work both sides of the fabric simultaneously. So in this pattern that means every odd numbered stitch is a knit and every even numbered stitch is a purl.
