Little Majolica
Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Fall 2006: “Bright colors and a bold motif make a get-up-and-go kid’s sweater. A strip of two-color garter-stitch checkerboard pattern between contrasting reverse stockinette-stitch ridges creates a border at the neck, cuffs, and along the bottom of the sweater. The tiniest bit of duplicate-stitch embroidery sparks the centers of the crossed-leaf design in the body of the sweater and ties the color-work patterns together. Use the colors shown here or work up your own lively combination. You can’t go wrong.”
