A cowl to use up that one skein of yarn that we all seem to have laying around. You know the one I mean. It catches your eye when you’re shopping so you grab one, later wondering why you grabbed just one when you know it’ll likely never be enough for anything and so it sits in your stash forever.

One 200 gram skein is all you need to knit this cozy cowl. You will also need a small amount of another yarn of contrasting color if you wish to make the pompom chain. I used leftover balls of Bernat Softee Chunky that I had on hand, an 11.5mm crochet hook (to make a chain with the yarn), and a large Clover pompom maker for the poms.
