This little book is full of friendly monsters! The book has 6 pages and a cover. Each of the 6 pages has a moving/tactile component to lift/move/spin. The pattern includes written instructions for every component and photos showing the assembly process.

Materials Required

• 3.5 mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• small amount of fiberfill stuffing
• DK yarn in orange, purple, dark green, light green, black, white, yellow, gold, grey, blue, red, multicoloured (or substitute other colours of your choice – these colourful monsters are a great stashbuster!). The multicoloured yarn I used is Fruity from Paton’s Fab DK range

Sizing

Gauge is not particularly important for this pattern, as long as you’re consistent. The whole book is crocheted with the same size hook. I used a 3.5mm hook and DK yarn, and the pages (26 rows of 30 hdc stitches) were 12cm x 12cm (5” x 5”). The finished book was 6cm (2.5”) deep.
