All elements of the rainbow are worked in single stitches and continuous rounds; do not join unless otherwise stated in the pattern.
It’s a good idea to add in a marker at the end of each round and move that marker as you move on. You can also use a short length of yarn as I did.

I used a 100% Cotton Aran yarn with a 3.5 instead of a 5mm hook, so you won’t get any gaps or stuffing showing through the stitches.

Yarn for the front and back of the rainbow:
50g 100% Cotton Yarn in natural white and 50g in contrasting colours
(Aran / 10 ply (8 wpi); e.g. « Natura Medium » from DMC
Yarn for the detail work (stitched name, hanger and winding ball):
100% Cotton Yarn (Sport / 5 ply (12 wpi);
e.g. « Catania » from SCHACHENMAYR
Crochet Hooks 3.5 and 3mm for the detail work
