These mittens are designed without a thumb for babies and toddlers ages 0 months to 3 years.

You can build in an optional liner as you knit these mittens (uses an additional 1/4 skein of yarn total between the 2 balls of Palette yarn) by using Stranded Double Knitting (see instructions here - http://www.ravelry.com/projects/magicneedles/stranded-dou...), but instead pick up stitches for purl columns every 2 rows instead of every 4 rows.
