For the baby blanket “Little Orchid” I chose soft and restrained colors. The unusual pattern is inspired by historical carpet patterns from Asia Minor.

I designed this blanket with two pieces of a patchwork fabric on the back so that the baby´s face does not come in contact with the wool.

The blanket is made flat in one piece (not in the round).

Skill level: for experienced knitters

Finished size: 70 cm width x 91 cm length

Materials: 350 grams of Jamieson´s of Shetland Spindrift (105 m/ 25 g) - 10 colors
Patchwork fabric, 100 % cotton of size 80 cm x 50 cm

The pattern includes photos, a knitting technique tutorial, detailed preparation and knitting instructions, sewing instructions and clear colored charts.

Für diese Babydecke habe ich sanfte und zurückhaltende Farben gewählt. Das außergewöhnliche Muster ist inspiriert von historischen Teppichmustern aus Kleinasien.

Gegen die Rückseite sind zwei Stücke eines Baumwoll-Patchwork-Stoffes genäht, damit das Gesicht des Babys nicht in Kontakt mit der Wolle kommt.

Die Decke wird in einem Stück in Hin- und Rückreihen gearbeitet (nicht in Runden).
