The Children’s version of the Pine Cardigan is here! It has the same slightly oversized fit as the adult version and can be made with or without buttons. The modern granny stitch used in the main body creates a beautiful cut out pattern that makes the cardigan feel loose and airy; it’s cosy without being bulky or heavy.

This pattern comes in 6 sizes; 2-3years, 3-4years, 4-5years, 6-7years, 8-9years, and 10-11years.

The length of the cardigan is easily adjustable, simply complete as many repeats of the stacked modern granny stitch pattern as you like before separating for the upper body panels.

This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners, there is photo support for the special stitches and trickier parts of the pattern.

You will need:
4.5mm and 5mm crochet hooks (or those required to meet gauge)
500-820m of Aran/worsted/#4 weight yarn
4-6 buttons (Optional)
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Scissors
