Little Plinth Tee is a pretty, pint-sized top for the little ones in your life who love to twirl. This drop-shoulder tee features a sideways knit garter hem shaped with short row wedges to create a gentle flounce. The full hem modification lets you kick it up a notch with even more volume! A textured detail at center front and back ties it all together and the neckline is neatly finished with an i-cord trim. Sizes range from 3 months to 12 years (18-31” finished chest measurements).

Garment Construction: This drop-shoulder tee is worked seamlessly in one piece from the bottom up. The hem is worked sideways with short row wedges to create fullness along the bottom edge. Stitches for the body are picked up along one edge and then joined to work in the round. There is no waist shaping for an easy fit through the body, with slight shaping at the underarm for an extended drop shoulder. For the short sleeve option, extra stitches are cast on for the integrated sleeve trims. The front and back are worked separately above the armholes and joined at the shoulders with a 3-needle bind off. Kid sizes include short row shaping at the shoulders for a more refined fit. The long sleeve option has stitches picked up along the armhole edges and knit in the round to the cuff. Finally, the neckline is finished with an i-cord trim for a clean look.

This pattern requires knowledge of increasing, decreasing, working in the round, picking up stitches, and short rows. Full schematic and measurement tables provided. Written instructions provided for special techniques, and additional video tutorial link is included for figure-8 cast on for sideways hem.
