This is for a little palm sized pumpkin pattern.
I have used smaller needles than required for the yarn because I was stuffing the work and did not want the stuffing to poke through.

The pumpkin may take 2 meters of orange to complete, however the stem and twisty leaf can be made with scraps of green, or for a fall pumpkin you can even use brown.

Also to use for halloween decorations you can add a face to the pumpkin by cutting out the desired shapes in black felt.
