Easy lace, cables, and beads for sparkle flow in a current down the scarf reminding me of our local Little River. Preciosa Tonal relaxes significantly when blocked yielding a generous yet light fabric. Beading is optional, but the pattern is a good beginner beading project.

My long sample used 63 beads: 10 repeats (6 beads per repeat) + 3.

Pattern Details:
Yarn: Knit Picks Preciosa Tonal Worsted (100% Merino Wool; 273 yards/100g), Color Crest: 1 skein for 42” (107 cm) or 2 skeins for up to 84” (214 cm) length
Gauge: 45 stitches = 9” (23 cm), 28 rows = 6” (15 cm) across pattern repeat
Needles: US Size 10.5 (6.5mm), and a cable needle
Notions: Tapestry needle, optional 5/0 beads and No. 6 (1.00mm) crochet hook
Sample Blocked Finished Size: 42” or 60” (107 cm or 152 cm) long, 9” (23 cm) wide.
Notes:
Preciosa relaxes significantly when wet blocked. One skein will make a shorter 42” (107 cm) long scarf. Pattern chart indicates optional bead placement. Suggest crochet hook beading method. Tutorial here: http://tutorials.knitpicks.com/wptutorials/knitting-with-...
