Description
Indiana’s Little River is a 22 mile stream that flows in and out of an area once called the Great Marsh. This expanding and condensing waterway is the inspiration for the Little River Shawl.
Knit side to side (point to point) with an I-cord edge and lace pattern running down the middle, this triangle shawl provides enough variety to stay entertained while also being a therapeutic knit.
Yarn - Designed for 2 skeins of your favorite fingering weight yarn, the pattern provides instruction to alter the size of the shawl dependent on the yardage of your skeins.
Size - Sample has a 80” wingspan and 26” dept after aggressive blocking, with a gauge of 25 sts and 26 rows per 4” / 10 cm in garter stitch. Gauge isn’t crucial, but will impact final size and yardage.
Tools - US 4 (3.5mm) needles or size required to obtain gauge, 2x Stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking supplies
Difficulty - Advanced Beginner. Experience with abbreviations, pattern repeats, and charts. Stitches include: k2tog, kfkb, kfsb, ssk, slp (wyif, wyib), yo, and s2kp.
Pattern includes both charted and written instructions and has been tech edited and test knit.
