Knit a cute Little Saturn desk buddy for astronomers and cosmologists! As this only uses small amounts of yarn, it is a super stash-busting project to use up odds and ends to avoid waste.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, this little planet is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3mm single pointed knitting needles (US 2.5).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in each colour.


NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, 6mm toy safety eyes and black embroidery thread.

SIZES
One size only - 11cm across.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and a little seaming to finish.
