Little Seagull Shawl
The Little Seagull Shawl takes inspiration from – you guessed it! – seagulls. Little eyelets form the shape of seagulls flying in the distance, while the shape of the shawl mimics the outstretched wings of a gull in motion. The shawl features gradual increases, then more rapid increases, to create elongated wings. These have the added benefit of giving more styling options for a small shawl; the shawl can be worn wrapped with the point at the front, the back, or the side, or thrown on as a light extra layer, with the design being fully reversible. With only one skein of yarn required, and an easy lace chart with relaxing garter and stocking stitch sections, this light summer project is perfect for knitting on the go!
Notions required:
Tapestry needle (to weave in ends)
Stitch markers (9 required, for marking start and end of lace section repeats, etc.)
Shawl size:
Wingspan: 62”/157 cm
Depth: 22.5”/57 cm
