Little Snowflake Mittens
This pattern is for a cute pair of mittens featuring snowflakes on the back and snowballs on the palms, without thumbs for little hands. There is one size included in the pattern: 0-6 months baby. The pattern includes one color chart. There are instructions on knitting a detachable I-cord for each pair of the mittens, if desired. I created this pattern because I love to give baby mittens as a gift for new babies. They are great for baby’s hands in the winter and make a precious keepsake that can be hung on the Christmas tree.
A note about yarns: I have used Rauma Finullgarn for these mittens in the past, but it is more difficult to work with on small needles. The Rauma Baby Panda is super soft, knits up very beautifully, and is a merino machine washable yarn. Finullgarn is a sturdy yarn that blocks more beautifully than the superwash Baby Panda. There are many other appropriate fingering weight yarns you can use, and I’ll be happy to see what you choose. You can knit them in any color you desire. I’d love it if you’d link your finished mittens on Ravelry, Facebook, or share in the reviews in my Etsy shop.
