“A sprite is a supernatural entity. They are often depicted as fairy-like.”

ATTENTION: THIS IS A DIGITAL PATTERN, NOT A FINISHED PRODUCT.
This is an crochet pattern (amigurumi) to make your very own little Sprite. You will receive both the English and the Dutch pattern.

When making this little Sprite you can vary with different types of (cotton) yarn, different hairstyles and make different caps.
Do you want to make a mushroom cap or rather a flower one? Maybe both!
This little Sprite can be easily combined with the options in my Fantasy Sprite pattern and vice versa.
(Those options are: different ears, wings and a bendable tail.)

The instructions are written in US crochet terms, with step by step photos.
There is very little sewing involved, the doll is made in one piece, the ears and embellishments on the cap need to be attached by hand.

When made with cotton yarn weight 4 (medium) the finished product will be about 8 inches long.

You’ll need to know how to:
-make a magic ring
-work in a round
-single crochet
-increase/decrease
-chain stitch
-slip stitch

What you need to make a little Sprite:
-Crochet hook 2.5 (c) (or 2mm/B for thinner yarn.) and 1 hook size bigger for the cap.
-Cotton yarn for the body in your color/style of choice.
-Acrylic yarn for the hair.
-Scissors and pins.
-Tapestry needle to weave the ends.
-2x 8mm oval safety eyes.
-Anodized aluminum craft wire* (I use 12 gauge. It needs to be slim enough to still
fit your limbs, but firm enough to hold its shape.)
-Flat nose pliers, to cut and bend your wire.
-Stuffing. (like Poly-Fil.)
