Little Sunshine
This cute little sunhat is worked in the round from the top down. If you’re not sure what size to make, I’d suggest going up a size, as babies grow quickly!
Materials:
Yarn:
Sport / dk weight cotton:
110 (140, 170, 210) yards / 1 (1, 2, 2) balls of MoYa Cotton.
Needles:
dpns or long circular needles for magic loop method.
US3 /3.25mm long circular needle or dpns.
Notions:
Tapestry needle, 1 stitch marker.
Sizing:
Small baby / 0-6m size (older baby / 6-12m, toddler / 1-2 years, small child / 3-6 years).
To fit head circumference ~
13-15 (15-16.5, 16.5-18, 18-19.5) inches /
33-38 (38-42, 42-46, 46-49.5) cm
with approx. 1.5 inches / 4 cm of negative ease at the widest part of the head.
Gauge:
24 st & 34 rows per 4 inches / 10 cm in stockinette stitch (adjust needle size if necessary to get gauge.)
