I made this dress for a newborn girl. My model is 3 months old but it will fit the baby up to 6 months. The measurements of the dress are: chest circumference 44 cm, length 38 cm, width at the bottom 100 cm. The size can be adjusted by casting on more stitches and working more rows.

I used soft and kind Alize Baby wool for this project. It is a blend of 40% wool, 20% bamboo and 40% acrylic. It isn’t itchy and I find this wool very suitable for sensitive skin. 3 mm needles will be required for the project. The gauge is 24stx35rows=10 cm but it will actually depend on your tension.

The dress is decorated with embroidered Lazy Daisies to make it a tiny bit brighter but this step can be skipped if you don’t fancy too many details or are using bright colour yarn for your work.
