Needles and notions
Two gauge-size needles (min 40cm length)
Tapestry needle
Gauge
32 sts and 64 rows (32 ridges) to 10 cm / 4 in over garter stitch worked back and forth.
Use 2.25mm needle as a starting point for swatching.
It’s important to work to the gauge specified, bearing in mind that garter stitch is very stretchy, and can grow significantly post-blocking.
Sizes
The size of this hat is adjustable by length and by circumference.
Instructions for four sizes are included in the pattern.

This short row hat begins with a provisional (winding) cast on, and is worked from side to side.
