These cute Little Worry Monsters are soft and cuddly. Their names are Crunchie and Munchie and although smaller than some worry monsters you might have seen, this pair will happily gobble up worries. The tummy pocket, accessed through the mouth, is 8cm (3in) square and will hold a worry note written on a piece of A4 paper when it is carefully folded. Worries written on smaller pieces of paper (A5 or A6) are preferable.

Children often find it difficult to talk to a parent or teacher about their worries but will happily write a note or draw a picture to describe the worry which they then feed to their worry monster. Once the monster has ‘eaten’ the worry it can often fade. If not, then the parent or teacher can access the note when the child isn’t around and discover what the worry is.

SIZE - Crunchie and Munchie the worry monsters measure 25cm (10in) when standing and 15cm (6in) when sitting.

NEEDLES: All knitting is done on two straight 3.25mm needles and seamed. (US size 3).

YARN: DK (double knitting) yarn in various colours of your choice. (USA - light-worsted/Australia - 8 ply).

SKILLS REQUIRED: Cast on, cast off, knit, purl, increase, decrease.
