Perfect Halloween cozy for anyone like me who is a monster before her morning coffee! I drink mine from 20 oz jars, so this pattern is designed to fit those. Finished size is 7 in long and about 10.5 in circumference around the outside. It could be easily adapted for other sizes, though.

This is worked in stockinette stitch in the round, from the bottom up with a fair isle chart in the middle.

This is a good way to use up smallish amounts of stashed yarn left over from other projects. The designated yarn for this pattern is bulky weight, but doubled worsted weight works as well. (I doubled up black worsted-weight wool yarn for the main color and then used a bulky wool roving yarn for the contrast color. The pictured cozy used 1.4 oz of the main color and 0.1 oz of the contrast color, but yarns are all different. Your usage could vary.)

Light-colored yarn with a halo makes the eyes look like they glow a bit against a dark background.
