Liv's teddy
Recently a young mother from Australia contacted me, asking whether I could replicate her daughter’s old hand-knitted teddy - just in case it got lost.
So, just armed with a photograph and some basic measurements I set out to replicate Liv’s teddy.
In the process I wrote down this pattern.
It is a very simple pattern.
It is written to be knitted on a set of double-pointed needles, so it essentially makes a tube (that’s because I am lazy and try to avoid as much sewing as possible!).
The legs are stitched through.
All that is required is knowing how to cast and and off and how to increase and decrease.
It get s a tiny bit more tricky at the top, when the middle 4 stitches are cast off and the ears are completed separately.
I had such fun making this teddy that I want to make this pattern free.
Because it is simple it invites itself as a pattern for charity knitting.
So please feel free to share and copy it as you like.
If you have any questions or comments or spot a mistake (there shouldn’t be any), please let me know.
HAPPY KNITTING! :)
