Livstykke is a short slightly waisted cardigan with pleated edges at the bottom of the body and sleeves. Livstykke is the Danish word for bodice or a person with a positive and happy approach to life. The inspiration for Livstykke is an antique knitted petticoat.

The cardigan has long set in sleeves (the yoke is worket in one piece / raglan construction).

The pattern is made for at yarn with a gauge of 30 stitches per 10 centimeters (textured pattern) i.e. a yardage of approximate 300 meters per 100 grams. Pictured in hand dyed (dyed with cochenille and indigo) 100% merino from Chester Wool Company (sport 300).

The pattern includes directions for a Chest width (circumference): 99 (104, 109, 116, 124, 129, 135) centimeters and a length of 50 (52, 54, 55, 56, 57, 57) centimeters.

This pattern is written for a knitter who is able to follow written instructions and work increases, decreases and pick up stitches.
