I had made luce for my wife and wanted to make an ensemble around the same architectural style. She doesn’t wear hats, but does enjoy fingerless gloves. Hence, the design for Liz was born.

You begin by knitting in the round on four double pointed needles. Then, without removing the project from the double pointed needles, you knit a series of 20 strands with the single pointed needles that consume the stitches left on the double pointed needles. Once this is completed, you will pick up stitches with the double pointed needles and knit the rest of the piece in the round.
